Dobrá Vinice - Petr Nejedlík and Andrea Nejedlíková

Even if Czech wines tend to remain discreet and struggle to make their way in the midst of local beer production, their elaboration is nonetheless surprising with a long tradition behind it. Dobrá Vinice is quite a remarkable example and unique winery located in the South-East region of Moravia in Czech Republic not so far from the Austrian border. Petr and his wife Andrea are extremely dedicated people and farm approximately 16 ha of vines in the Podyjí National Park which is known for its very varied soils mainly composed of gneiss, granite and flint. The vineyards are about 35 years old. They are by far one of the pioneers and masters of natural winemaking in this part of the country with a captivating and extremely pure way of producing wine using the classical 8000 year-old technique from Georgia of fermentation and aging of white and red wines on the skin for many months in amphoras. The wines resulting are very delicate and harmonious and have great potential of longevity.
